Privacy, in plain words
This page is short because there is not much to say. YappYapp does its listening on your Mac, and this website counts pages without ever learning who you are.

The app is offline by construction
Speech becomes text inside the app, on your machine. The runtime ships with no network entitlement and a CI gate fails any build that adds one, so the promise is enforced by tooling rather than by us remembering it. The app reaches the internet for exactly two things, both with visible off switches: downloading a voice model the first time you pick one, and a daily signed update check that sends a version number and nothing else. Your audio and your transcripts: never. The setup guide lists every permission it asks for and why.
This website counts pages, not people
Two first-party beacons run here: Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views, and Vercel Speed Insights, which measures how fast pages load. Both are served from this domain, both are cookieless, and neither writes to local storage, session storage or any other store in your browser. Campaign parameters aside (utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign), the query string of the address you arrived with is stripped before anything is reported. No advertising identifier, no fingerprint, no cross-site profile.
One cookie, and it remembers a language
If you pick a language with the switcher, this site stores NEXT_LOCALE so the bare address sends you back to the language you chose. That is the entire cookie inventory. The switcher is the only thing that writes it, one redirect is the only thing that reads it, and it is never restamped while you browse. Delete it and the site simply goes back to English.
No profiles, no ads, nothing for sale
Nothing here builds a profile of you. There is no advertising, no retargeting pixel, no data broker and nothing on sale, because there is nothing to sell. Your pixel pets level up on your Mac, in one small file we never see.
Why there is no cookie banner
Consent is required for cookies and trackers that are not strictly necessary. The measurement here sets none, and the one cookie exists only because you asked for a language. A banner would advertise tracking that does not happen, so this page exists instead.
Your rights, and how little there is to use them on
Under the GDPR you can ask what personal data is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or erased, object to processing, and complain to your data protection authority. The honest answer here is that there is nothing to look up: the page counts are aggregate and carry no identifier that could be traced back to you, and your dictation never leaves your Mac in the first place.
