- Open YappYapp.dmg from your Downloads folder.
- Drag YappYapp into your Applications folder.
- Double-click YappYapp. macOS asks once whether to open an app downloaded from the internet: click Open.
Then the setup guide walks you through the microphone and accessibility prompts.

A Mac with Apple Silicon (M1 or later) running macOS 14 or later. Intel Macs are not supported. Disk space depends on the voice model you pick, from a few dozen megabytes up to a couple of gigabytes for Whisper large. Nothing else: no account, no connection once the model has downloaded, no subscription.
